When Dr. Thalia Micah recognized that her passion for compassionate care could not be fully realized within the Institute of Integrative Health Specialists and Holistic Wellness Center, LLC, she made the difficult decision to close the practice. In response, she established The Healing Village, Inc.—an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit—with a vision of expanding equitable access to healthcare for all. Motivated by a commitment to community connection and health education, Dr. Micah saw that nonprofit status would make it possible to better serve veterans, underserved populations, and individuals in need.

Through this transition, The Healing Village, Inc. will be able to uphold and extend integrative, patient-centered care that is both accessible and inclusive—reflecting Dr. Micah’s dedication to fostering a healthier and more just community. Currently, the primary focus is on fundraising efforts, with the hope of fully reopening soon.
